Project Management Team

Robert Ragozzino

Senior Project Management, Board Member, Co-Founder

A professional pilot, aircraft builder, and aviation world-record holder, Robert joined the SOS2 project in 2001.

In 1994, he founded the Stearman World Flight Team. This team produced a magnificent, highly modified, Super 450 Stearman biplane.

In 2000, Robert flew the Super Stearman around the world solo.

This epic flight set the record for the only solo open-cockpit circumnavigation.

Robert oversees all apects of the SOS2 effort including aircraft specification, design, certification, construction & flight test.

Marvin Bay

Board Member, Co-Founder

A pilot and businessman with private, commercial, and multi-engine instrument ratings, Marvin joined the effort in 1997.

Marvin is a board member and contributor to the project.

Scott Royer

Board Member, Co-Founder

Scott Royer had a vision to build a Spirit of St. Louis replica to cross the Atlantic Ocean. Scott serves as board member and contributor.

Anthony Giacomini

Aircraft Craftsman

Anthony was the most significant craftsman in the completion of the Spirit 2 aircraft. Antony is a master craftsman with 40+ years of experience.

His skill and devotion were pivotal in the construction leading to successful flight testing.
